  • Overview

    The Office Clerk / Manager is under direct supervision of the Chief Inspector or other personnel. Their duties and responsibilities require that they will be both knowledgeable and experienced in all phases of pipeline construction and inspection.


    • Primary responsibility is maintaining and operating a functional office at the project site. 
    • Maintains complete files of all correspondence, data, reports, forms, schedules, and all records necessary and required by contract specifications, and documentation. 
    • Accounts for materials, warehousing, and distribution in accordance with QIS and Client Company procedures. 
    • Establishes a professional business relationship with contractors, suppliers, vendors and Client Company personnel. 
    • Initiates receiving and distribution reports as required by QIS and Client Company procedures. 
    • Assures that all documentation needed for quality or design is accumulated as required and is in the documentation package at the project's completion.
    • Prepares necessary daily reports and weekly progress. 
    • Assures that the Contractor's payment schedule is made out accurately and promptly as required. 
    • Maintains contact with field and construction office personnel to acquire information pertaining to potential changes in the project which may affect the schedule and forecasted costs. 


    • 2-5+ years clerical experience with field construction procedures, terminology and documentation.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of gas pipeline construction.
    • Proficient with basic office machines required for completion of project reports such as the calculator, adding machine, copy machine, computer, fax, telephone. 
    • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office systems. 
    • Possesses written and oral communication skills. 
    • Self-motivated and can work without direct supervision. 
    • Versed in Client Company's policies and procedures.
