  • Overview

    The NDT Auditor / Inspector is under the direct supervision of the Senior NDT Auditor and/ or Senior Welding Inspector. The NDT Auditor's duties and responsibilities require that they'll be both knowledgeable and experienced in all phases of pipeline and related facilities, weld quality and nondestructive-testing.


    • Assures that radiographic procedures, film interpretation, film quality and film identification are in accordance with approved specifications.
    • Maintains continual communications with the Senior NDT Auditor and Senior Welding Inspector regarding welding and film quality.
    • Assures station numbers and all film artifacts are documented and confirmed on the NDE report turned in by the NDE Contractor.
    • Reviews X-Ray contractor's radiographs and reports and prepares a separate Daily Radiographic Report listing all welds reviewed and forwards to the Senior NDT Auditor and Senior Welding Inspector.
    • Identifies all defects that are not acceptable per API 1104, Section 6.0 (which shall include all film artifacts.)


    • Must have previous experience in the interpretation of pipeline radiography as a Certified Level II Interpreter.
    • Holds an NDT Certificate.

              Please note: API 1169 Certification is required for all Inspectors by January 2019.
