Overview

The NACE coating inspector will conduct various aspects of quality control and inspection activities associated with the oversight and management of both field and shop level industrial coating activities on storage tanks, pipelines, dispensing systems, and other steel structures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Site Quality Control Manager in accordance with the Project Quality Control Plan primarily for coating activities.
  • Off-site support of coatings work plan development in concert with manufacturers specifications and prevailing standards.
  • On-site NACE superintendence, super surveillance and hold point inspections of subcontracted coating activities.
  • Maintains effective communications with on-site clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensures Subcontractor adherence to all typical and specified requirements associated with field and shop coating actions.
  • Implements plans and monitors work activities to ensure project execution supports compliance internal and external timelines and objectives.
  • Conducts on-site meetings with the client and subcontractors as required; Liaises with government Quality Assurance inspectors as required.
  • Prepares project Quality Control documents and reports in accordance with establish plans.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience working on oil and gas product handing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction project drawings and specifications.
  • NACE certifications (Levels I/II/III).
  • Current Certification from Unites States Army Corps of Engineers or United Sates Navy Quality Control for Construction Contractors (or other recognized agency).
